Introduction

My name is Stephanie Navarrete and I am choosing to do my blog about the Black Rock Desert in Nevada.  I am interested in learning and being able to explain some of the interesting weather I experienced when I visited there about five years ago.  Since it is part of a conservation area, I find it interesting that such a huge event (Burning Man) is held there every year and want to find out the effects of this human interaction with the land.  The vast extremes of temperature and landscape I find interesting and look forward to exploring it and blogging about it this semester.
